Benefits of having females in leadership positions in religious organizations.

This item is a thesis essay explaining the benefits of having females in leadership positions in religious organizations. The benefits include: Females are roles models, they offer insight and opinion about female church members that male leaders may not understand, and female members may feel more comfortable seeking counsel from female church leaders. All these benefits have a great impact on religious communities all around the world. The essay goes into detail of the different ways women can and have made a difference in several different religious communities. It also includes personal anecdote about growing up surrounded by strong, female leaders at the Catholic school I attended. This essay gives insight to some of the roles women play in churches or organizations, including an example of a female Bishop who is starting a chain reaction in female leadership. It also includes a brief history of women being excluded from leading roles in religion all around the world. This essay gives examples of how women are changing some traditions of religious communities. It shows all the ways women are getting there name and message out there. This essay also shows not only how people can benefit from these leading women, but also how many people can benefit from them. Historically, women have often been told they belong in a household as opposed to working outside the house. But according to recent articles, women are emerging as leaders now more than ever. Female leaders in religious organizations are becoming the accepted norm.
