Description

This is an image of The Mary-Brogan Museum of Art and Science. This building is located on South Duval Street in the heart of downtown Tallahassee. Downtown Community Church (DCC) used this location temporarily to conduct church services. This was the second building DCC used while searching for a permanent home. The picture shows the front entrance to the building including a ramp for handicap individuals. The Mary-Brogan Museum of Art and Science was created by an act of the Florida legislature in 1971. The idea was to use this building to promote business and entertainment. Besides being used as a museum it was also used for festivals and celebrations. Unfortunately, the building closed down in 2010.
